  • Mood: Optimism
  • Reading: The books they force upon me
  • Drinking: smoothies
I keep putting this off and it badly needs an update.

SO a new year eh? Pretty keen to get into drawing again. I finally got my hand healed and its a LOT better than it was. It's still a bit of a battle but I'm really thankful for the progress!

Continuing the 3rd year of my bachelor of ministry degree and I feel more crap and inadequate than ever! Which isn't all bad... but I'm madly praying for a bit of a breakthrough in regards to my study... man the pressure gets to me! It's like I think I'm never good enough or something, well It's getting better.

Not much more to say, hope you'll see more dA action from me!

XD

Did you tell him it was the Lord's chips?

I hope prayer is not your only solution to your self-doubt, pressure and frustration. What's that saying -- God helps those who help themselves?

In truth, I don't really know your situation, but there seems to be a bit too much praying going on in this journal, and not enough self-empowering action!
:icontherealarien:
lol thanks for the encouragment! Self-empowering certainly has its place, but only upto a point. I do see what you mean though, and I HAVE gotten a lot more pro-active in a lot of things, especially being less apathetic in how I go about life. I'm seeing life less and less as a series of up and downs, and with more meaning and consistency underneath. That way the ups and downs don't matter as much. But, the way I see it God has empowered me to live to the fullest, especially lately in seeing life's battles for what they are, and not being so frustrated all the time. I'm learning to fight for truth more, regardless of how I feel. Enough about me... How is SAN FRAN?!   :XD:

Thanks heaps! I've got a couple things in the works, but as it goes the standard at which I submit stuff goes up all the time, I keep pushing myself but hopefully not to frustration! I really do want to be VARIED! I kinda want my wacom back but I guess I should be studying right now... :XD:

I'm not in SF yet, my trip was delayed for 6 weeks :(

In regards to "ups and downs" -- I've heard someone say the best way to deal with the downs is to avoid frustration by realising that you're about to have a breakthrough, and you'll have grown some when you get through it. And growth, as you should know, is essential to any life worth living.
:icontherealarien:
So when you movin to Brisbane?
Yeah thats true! Man I'm all about growing...
So its nice my hands are pretty much better now! I don't have to 'avoid' inspiration now, I'm even buying those $20 imagine fx mags, this month had stuff on matt painting and the movie industry, come with a dvd too.
